Review : Herbivore Botanicals
For the last few months I have been using Herbivore botanicals skincare in my morning + evening routines. I honestly love these products so much, so I thought that I would review them here for you!
If you’ve been reading for a while you will know that I have finicky skin – it has good days and bad (as most people do) but in addition my skin is super sensitive and combination!
I bought these two products because they are more focused towards blemish prone + combo skin which I figured would be perfect for me.
I use the cleansing bar in the morning + the evening (it even gets off my makeup!). I use the lapis oil mostly in the evening for my night moisturizer, but I have used it during the day as well and its really nice (not too oily by the end of the day either!).
The cleansing bar has cleared my skin drastically. I don’t think I have ever been so impressed with a cleanser. Its super gentle and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry at all. When I am getting a breakout (thanks hormones) it usually clears up within 2 days without acne treatment.
I love these products because not only do they work, but they last so long (nearly 4 months for the oil roller and still going on the cleansing bar!) but they are natural products created with natural ingredients (plant-based food-grade cold-pressed oils, steam distilled therapeutic-grade essential oils, GMO free soy wax, recyclable and reusable packaging, many certified organic ingredients). And lastly, they are pretty affordable! I will definitely be trying more of their product line + repurchasing these 2 items as well!
Herbivore Botanicals is available through the Herbivore site as well as Chapters, Sephora and soon to be Apostrophie shop in Mission! The bar retails for around 15$ and the oil roller is around $30.
What natural skincare products do you love? Let me know in the comments! I’m always looking to try new things.
